Norton was selected for his outcross genetics, frame, power, performance & temperament.
His Canadian sire Northline Ignition was a massive, deep ribbed bull with plenty of muscle and knock out performance. A success in the show ring as well, he was the 2010 U.S N.I.L.E Grand Champion bull.
I was very fortunate to view Ignition's Dam, Jayderne Nadine 7N, in the paddock, at Northline Angus Ardrossan, Alberta in November 2017. She was still active at 14 years of age; living out in the freezing cold. It was minus 20 degrees the day we visited. She was very impressive.
Norton's dam, Trevone Park Whisper A8, is from the successful Whisper cow line.
A8 was a magnificent cow by the legendary Bar-E-L Approval and out of a Sam's Prospector IBR cow.
Whisper A8 was Grand Champion Female and Best Red Angus Exhibit at Sydney Show in 2009.

He was used extensively at Boonyouin from 2007 to 2011, adding frame and bone to my more traditional Angus cows.
He is in the top 10% of the breed for 200, 400, 600 day growth and milk EBVs.
I have kept many of his daughters.
Foreman F21 was used on our stud & commercial 'F' heifers in 2011.
He is 3/4 brother to Tyson E11 being yet another low birthweight son of Trevone Park Quantoc and by Trevone Park Rabi D12.
I used his son, Hank H21, as a heifer bull as well.
